Siemens Introduces Fire Detection Control Panel

The Siemens Building Technologies Division unveils Sinteso FC2080 fire detection control panel. This control panel has multiple redundancies, supports up to 5,000 peripheral devices and improves availability. The extensive, scalable device is ideal for large installations.
The Sinteso FC2080 complements the broad portfolio of control panels of Siemens Building Technologies Division's with an innovative version for fire detection systems. The control panel can accommodate up to 5,000 fire detectors and peripheral devices. It is flexible for individual configuration with the 37 line and I/O cards that were added. Using cluster backbone architecture, the FC2080 can also be networked with up to 64 supplementary Sinteso control panels and terminals, ensuring step-by-step upgrades of existing installations.
The Sinteso FC2080 control panel provides multiple levels of redundancy for improved security. The panel includes redundant CPU card with automatic switchover, integrated degrade mode, redundant software, turbo isolators, a failsafe mode and the FDnet's loop structure. The control panel is connected to the network via an EN 54-compliant backbone. Cluster connection is supported through two network cards and two Ethernet switches.
All Sinteso control panels use a standard operating concept for easy and seamless operation. The control panels include definite function keys and easy-to-use menu guidance. The Sinteso FC2080 is enclosed within a standard 19-in rack. The operating unit can be adopted at a distance or can be equipped to housing door.
The improved scalability and versatility of Sinteso FC2080 control panel makes it ideal for deployment within large fire detection systems in a range of environments. The Sinteso FC2080 is capable of supporting up to 24 different independent alarm concepts, and therefore fulfills multiple requirements with just a single control panel. Based on the situation, the fire department can be directly signaled during need.
