美国Rad-icon Imaging Corp于1997年成立，位于美国硅谷，是Dalsa公司控股的子公司，产品主要是直接探测X射线的CMOS探测器（Rad Eye系列）及基于此探测器的CMOS相机（Shad-O-Box系列）。公司主要业务为生产研制基于CMOS技术的X射线平板探测器，目前商品化的产品尺寸已经可以做到20cm*25cm，同时还可根据客户的尺寸要求来进行定做。由于CMOS探测器在分辨率等方面的优势已经越来越被大家意识到，其产品已经被广泛的应用于如下领域：
1、 医学成像，如普通X射线成像、牙科的单牙及全景X射线检测、骨密度仪等应用
2、 工业无损检测，如铸件和焊接检测、PCB板无损检测、工业CT等

In 2000, the company introduced its first product – the RadEye1 – an x-ray sensor based on CMOS technology designed to replace CCDs, and the first application of this technology was for surgical biopsy x-ray imaging to detect calcifications and tissue irregularities. Since then, Rad-icon introduced the RadEye™ family of high-resolution sensors along with complementary product lines of Shad-o-Box™ and Shad-o-Snap™ x-ray cameras, and in 2008, the company introduced the SkiaGraph8™ Very Large Area (VLA) x-ray camera with an 8”x 8” active sensing area, faster clock rates, lower noise, and higher sensitivity than competing devices on the market. Rad-icon’s products address diverse applications such as industrial inspection, non-destructive testing, medical imaging, electronics inspection, x-ray crystallography, biotechnology imaging, geology and exploration, and food/agriculture inspection. With Rad-icon’s sensors and cameras, our customers are able to implement cost-effective and high-performance digital imaging solutions.
