Biomatrica and Sigma-Aldrich Sign Distribution Agreement
SAN DIEGO, CA, January 13, 2014 – Biomatrica, Inc., a world leader in ambient temperature biological preservation technology, today announced the signing of  a worldwide distribution agreement with Sigma-Aldrich Corporation. The agreement provides Sigma-Aldrich with non-exclusive rights to distribute Biomatrica’s stabilization products for DNA, RNA, and bacteria. These products allow scientists to collect, stabilize, store and ship biological samples, such as purified DNA, RNA, as well as more complex specimens, such as cells and
tissues, at ambient temperatures.
“This distribution agreement will expand the reach of Biomatrica products into  new markets worldwide, and provide Sigma-Aldrich’s customers with more  convenient access to our products.” said Judy Muller-Cohn, Ph.D., CEO and cofounder of Biomatrica. “We look forward to working with Sigma-Aldrich to provide our mutual customers with valuable technologies for ambient temperature  preservation of their biological samples.”
