Background The Myc Tag, derived from the c-Myc protein, is a popular epitope tag for detecting the expression of recombinant proteins in yeast, bacteria, insect and mammalian cell systems. The Myc tag may be fused to either the N-terminus, C-terminus of a protein or internal. The short linear peptide sequence of the Myc-tag is N-EQKLISEEDL-C and has a size of about 1.2 kDa. 2. Description ChromoTek Myc-Trap? for Immunoprecipitation: The ChromoTek Myc-Trap? is a single domain antibody fragment coupled to agarose beads for immunoprecipitation / pull down of Myc-tagged proteins.
